The Urology Department was founded in the 1950s and is a National Key Discipline, a National Clinical Key Specialty, and a Shaanxi Provincial Clinical Key Specialty. It is a doctoral and master's degree-granting program, a postdoctoral research station, a National Clinical Pharmacology Base, the host unit of the Shaanxi Provincial Urology Quality Control Center, and a national laparoscopic training base for county-level hospitals. The department has two wards with 100 beds, 62 medical and research staff (including 4 professors, 7 associate professors, 2 doctoral supervisors, and 5 master's supervisors).
